Our students of KSGI(KSIT and KSSEM) participated in Mega ATV Championship held in Goa on 15-05-2022. WON 'THREE' Prizes/Tropies: 1. OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP: 2nd place All india ranking 2. Flat dirt race: 2nd place. 3. Night endurance race: 2nd runnerup. Heartly congratulations to team.

Team Redline Racing, K S Institute of Technology has participated in the event Mega ATV Championship organized by Autosport India in association with FMSCI. The Mega ATV Championship season-7 was organized by Autosport India. The event was organized in the North Goa from 11th May 2022 to 14th May 2022. The team have successfully cleared the virtual rounds of the event which was the entry criteria for the event. After this, team cleared Technical Inspection, driver's safety check, engine check and Brake test. The team bagged three TROPIES viz; 2nd Place in OVERALL CHAMPIOSHIP- All India ranking; 2nd Place in FLAT DIRT RACE; 2nd Runner up in NIGHT ENDURANCE RACE

Mr. Darshan G , Student of 8 th sem bearing Regd No : 1KS18ME014 won Best Physique award (4th positon) in the VTU Inter zone/ Single Zone Tournament 2021-22 held at Jyothy Institute of Technology , Bangalore on 22 February 2022.
Mr. SIRISH GOVARDHAN (1KS16ME083) got National award from Government of India for the year 2019-2020 for his outstanding achievement in NSS. Out of 30 Volunteers from country he is the one one from Karnataka

Mr. Sirish Govardhan, student of 8th semester, Mechanical engineering department, was felicitated by Mr. Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament, Govt. of India, for taking part in a fundraising initiative titled ?Tour de South India? held between March 1 and March 15, 2020
Mr. Vinay V P of 7th Sem Mechanical was selected for Indian Youth Delegation to Kyrgyzstan from 07th to 14th September, 2019.
The project entitled Design and Fabrication of Solid Waste Collector and Water De-Frothing Device was undertaken by the 8th semester students, Ashwin Miaya, Harshith Srinivas, Venkatesh Kashyap and Manoj R, guided by Mr. Umashankar M, Associate Professor and Head of the Department, was funded and awarded as The Best Project of the Year by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) for the 43rd Student Project Programme. This project is developed in order to contribute for the reduction in water pollution in metropolitan cities by removing organic and inorganic pollutants from water bodies.
The Second and Third Year students of Mechanical Engineering completed a training program with hands on experience in ?Industrial Automation and Advanced Manufacturing? from 23-01-2019 to 05-02-2019 at Bosch Vocational Training Center, Bengaluru.
Mr. Prajwal Krishna, student of Mechanical Engineering Department had represented VTU cricket team in South Zone Inter-University Cricket Tournament held at VTU Belagavi from 14th January 2019 to 23rd January 2019.
Mr. Kushal Bharadwaj, student of Mechanical Engineering Department had awarded with Best Student of the Year by Indian Society for Technical Education, Karnataka section for the year 2017.
The project "Automated Pesticide Sprayer for Agricultural farmlands" done by students of mechanical engineering lead by Praveen Kumar got selected for the all India level competition IICDC (India Innovation Challenge and Design Contest) which was organized by Department of Science and technology, India and sponsored by Texas Instruments.
Team Redline Racing is consistently participating in the event BAJA SAEINDIA organized by Mahindra in association with SAEINDIA for the past 5 years. The team has secured 6th position in acceleration, 8th pole position, 15th overall in All india rankings and 1st in design evaluation in Karnataka rankings of SAEINDIA BAJA ROPAR 2019.
Prodigy Racers is a Motor Sport Team of KSIT. Every year the team has been participating in different National level competitions. Where the students design CAD models of the vehicle and carry out stress analysis using the softwares like DS SOLIDWORKS and fabricate the vehicle from the scratch. The Team had secured 8th All India Ranking and 1st place for design evaluation in the event held at Mohite's Racing Academy, Kolhapur Maharashtra organized by Nexus Motorsport.
Under the guidelines Prof UMASHANKAR M Participated in the Student project programme (SPP)during the year of 2017-2018 HE/SHE was the adviser to the group of student who completed the project entitled PROPORTIONAL-INTEGRAL-DERIVATIVE CONTROLLER ON BOILER(TEMPERATURE AND FLOW CONTROL PARAMETERS) This project was adjudged as BEST PROJECT OF THE YEAR
The projects titled: (a) Thermal management of electronic equipments using oscillating heat pipes with binary mixture of working fluids and (b) Dual powered water purification system, had received funding from Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology (KSCST) during 42nd series of Student Project Programme.
Dr. K Rama Narasimha was nominated by VTU as Board of Examination member in Mechanical Engineering during the year 2016-2017.
The project titled ?Optimization of Tesla Turbine? guided by Mr. M Umashankar, Associate Professor, was awarded as Best Project during the year 2016-17. The project team members are Abhijith Magal, Anirudh.V, Hazaifuddin, Kushaal P.
