Welcome To Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC)

The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at KSIT is dedicated to fostering and nurturing the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. By providing mentorship, resources, and a platform for innovative ideas, the cell aims to empower the next generation of business leaders and creators.

Why Entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship empowers students to convert ideas into practical solutions that create economic and social value. It strengthens creativity, leadership, problem-solving ability, confidence and the willingness to take calculated risks. By encouraging innovation and self-employment, it enables young people to become opportunity creators rather than depending only on conventional jobs. The Entrepreneurship Development Cell at KSIT provides students with awareness, mentoring, industry interaction and platforms to explore ideas, develop prototypes, understand business models and progress towards sustainable ventures.

Mission

To nurture entrepreneurial thinking through awareness programmes, skill development, mentoring, innovation activities, industry collaboration and start-up support, while aligning with national entrepreneurship and innovation initiatives.

Key Objectives

The key objectives of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell at KSIT are:

  • To create awareness among students about entrepreneurship, innovation and start-up opportunities.
  • To develop creativity, leadership, problem-solving, communication and business-planning skills.
  • To organize expert talks, workshops, ideathons, business-plan competitions and entrepreneurship development programmes.
  • To encourage students to identify real-world problems and transform innovative ideas into practical solutions, prototypes and viable business models.
  • To connect aspiring entrepreneurs with alumni, mentors, industry experts, investors, government agencies and incubation centres.
  • To guide students in start-up planning, funding opportunities, intellectual property rights, registration and multidisciplinary collaboration.
